Idaho Photographer, Joe Noonan, is fast becoming a known for his landscape photography. His lastest work, "Sawtooth" shows his passion for emulating his inspiration, Ansel Adams. "This shot set itself up very much as some of Ansel's later work", says Noonan."Ansel's use of foregrounds that draw the viewer into the scene were a trademark of his. A technique almost all photographers use today. "The different layers of lava rock to the sage field to the mountains draw one into this scene wonderfully." "Ansel had an incredible ability to show the environment as well. You could almost feel the weather in his shots."

Montana is known for it's diverse landscapes and history. On a recent trip to North Western Montana with my son, I came upon this gorgeous River. Captured in the Mountains near Yaak, MT. The spring melts had just started and the Yaak River was at capacity, making for a great scene for this shot. The timeless beauty of this Black and White will look fantastic in your home or office. Available in MetalPrints as well. Please contact Joe Noonan for details or special requests.

This spectacular image was captured recently on a shoot around the famous and beautiful Lake Coeur d'alene. Taken handheld in low light conditions the shot was tricky but came out beautifully. Very little post production was needed. The colors you see are the same as it was taken straight from the camera.
